Bringing life to everything I touch.
Casting directors help bring movies and TV shows to life, or at least that is how I’ve always envisioned the job. I was raised in a small village called Farmington, Pennsylvania. Growing up in a small town seems boring to most, but it was the perfect playground for my active imagination. We have a property with lots of open space to explore. And we had lots of pets – including dogs, cats, rabbits, goats, chickens, pigs, and horses. Additionally, with three sisters, I always had someone to accompany me on my creative endeavors (modern-day Little Women, some might say). I spent most of my childhood outside, running around, creating games, and making videos with my sisters. However, I started to tire of my seemingly small existence with age. I began to obsess over movies and TV shows in my early teens. They served as a window into the bigger world. Watching reality TV fostered my interest in knowing people’s individual stories. This fascination led to my involvement in theater, athletics, and various clubs - all ways to meet more people. I also worked at a historic Frank Llyod Wright home as a tour guide. This job allowed me to develop advanced communication skills, and I met tourists from all over the world. Additionally, being a middle child, I have years of experience observing others around me. I understand relationships well, recognize talent, and effectively communicate with all types of people! I embody the small-town girl moving to LA and working her way up to a successful career is a story. I started last summer by interning with Shushu Entertainment, casting for an unscripted program. The escapism television provided allowed me to dream of a great future for myself. My interning experience was one of a kind, and now I am ready for my next chapter in LA. I am inspired by helping others and love the idea of casting talent. I aim to learn more about the casting industry as a whole, but specifically more about casting for scripted programming. I understand that all dreams require persistence and a willingness to learn. I want to gain wisdom from industry professionals, so please reach out!
